What exactly do I win if I win the sweepstakes?
If you are picked you'll win a trip to for TWO to La Pitchoune for a Courageous Cooking School experience, a lifetime membership to RecipeKick, and a spice collection from Burlap & Barrel.
There will be four total winners chosen, and winners get to choose if they want to bring a friend or come alone and have a private room. Totally YOUR choice.
If I preordered already, can I enter?
Yes! Preorders placed at any time BEFORE 11:59am on Monday, April 21st Pacific Time count and you may enter this contest until then. If you preordered the book before this contest was announced, you may still enter your order information above to participate in this sweepstakes. If you preordered this book in January when Makenna announced her book, you may enter this sweepstakes. In short, so long as you preordered the book at any point and preorder before April 22nd, you may enter this sweepstakes!
If I am joining one of your tour events, can I enter the giveaway?
Yes! A ticket for the book tour counts as a pre-order for the giveaway too! If you're joining an event where tickets are not required, make sure to pre-order a copy of the book from that retailer so you can get it signed by me at the event!
If I entered to receive the Preorder Bonus classes with Makenna on RecipeKick.tv do I need to re-enter my order information here?
Yes! This is a sweepstakes, and requires some more information, so you must enter both places. If you want a free membership to RecipeKick and classes with Makenna? Simply add that option in the sweepstakes above.
I’m based outside of the USA, can I still enter?
No, unfortunately, this is only open to USA residents. If you have preordered your book from outside of the USA, you will not be eligible for this sweepstakes. The rest of the world has tricky rules for these things!
Does my book tour ticket count as a preorder if I purchased it in advance?
You may enter this sweepstakes if your book tour ticket includes a book as part of your ticket! Please use “other” on the form above, and enter your ticket confirmation number. If you do not have a confirmation number, simply enter "Ticket purchased for Book Tour in CITY" and you will be eligible.
Will I receive an email confirmation?
A confirmation of your entry should appear on this page once you have completed the sweepstakes steps.
How will I know if I have won?
You will receive an email on or after April 30th, and we'll announce on social media! You'll need to submit a 1099 to us in order to confirm your place, as you will be taxed on the value of the sweepstakes. Please make sure you look in your SPAM folder as occasionally emails are filtered. We would hate for you to miss your email notification, it's a pretty big prize!
